Chris Brown was named BMI R&B/Hip-Hop songwriter of the year for the following songs : “All Eyes On You“with Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill “Ayo” with Tyga from the Fan Of A Fan album “Fun” from Pitbull’s Globalization “Hold You Down” from DJ Khaled’s album I Changed A Lot “Post To Be” with Omarion &Jhéné Aiko. 2016 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards, which was held on September 1st in Atlanta, honors songwriters and publishers of the year’s most-performed R&B/Hip-Hop songs. In 2014, Chris Brown received the “BMI Special Citation of Achievement” for over 1 million broadcast performances of his hit “Forever,” (Exclusive, 2007). He also won two other awards for Fine China and Love More (X, 2014). “I just appreciate all the singers and songwriters who helped me get to this point, making all this great music,” he said during his speech. “I didn’t do it by myself, the fans really put and jumpstarted it where it needed to be.
